Welcome to Back British Farming Official — a small team with a big heart for British farming, proudly based in Cornwall.
What started as a simple idea to support our local farmers has grown into a nationwide brand, proudly worn and supported by people across the country.
We created Back British Farming Official to give people a simple, positive and visible way to show their support for British farmers, homegrown produce, rural communities and the high welfare standards that British farming strives to uphold.
Every BBF item worn helps start conversations, spread awareness and show pride in the people who work tirelessly to produce the food that feeds our nation.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us and helped make BBF what it is today.
How It All Began
Like many small businesses, our story started at home.
During lockdown, we were selling beef boxes from our farm gate. We wanted a simple polo shirt that said “Back British Farming”, but we couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for.
So, we decided to create our own.
We came up with a simple design and started wearing it ourselves. Before long, our beef box customers began asking if they could have one too.
That small idea quickly grew. We realised there was a much bigger appetite for a straightforward way to show support for British farming, so we decided to take the next step and launch BBF online.
Our first ever online order was placed on 11th February 2021.
From those humble beginnings, BBF has continued to grow thanks to the incredible support of our customers and supporters. We never imagined just how far that original idea would travel, and we’re genuinely thankful to everyone who has been part of the journey.
Who Is BBF For?
Everyone.
You don’t have to be a farmer. You don’t have to live in the countryside. And you certainly don’t have to come from a farming background.
Whether you live in a city, a village or somewhere in the middle of the countryside, if you believe in supporting British producers and British farming, there’s a place for you in the BBF community.
We’ve been particularly touched by the support we’ve received from people from all walks of life.
One message that has stayed with us came from a vegan supporter who told us:
“I want those who consume animal products to only consume products from animals that were raised to the highest possible standard. I therefore support your message.”
That meant a huge amount to us and perfectly demonstrates what we believe BBF can stand for — supporting British farming and encouraging high standards, regardless of who you are or what your personal choices may be.
Giving Back
Supporting British farming isn’t just about what we say — it’s about what we do.
Giving back to the farming community is at the heart of BBF, and we’re incredibly proud to support the people and organisations working hard to strengthen rural communities and champion British agriculture.
